We've been hosting Traditional Irish Music Students for over 15 years connecting students with tutors in the beautiful Counties of Leitrim & Sligo in the Northwest of Ireland. We offer lessons in all instruments including Harp, Whistle, Flute, Fiddle, Mandolin, Uileann Pipes, Accordion, Concertina, Guitar & Bodhrán.
We've been offering one to one music lessons on all Irish Traditional instruments in the North West of Ireland for over 10 years. We combine trad music lessons (group and one to one lessons) with homestay or self catering accommodation, activities, excursions, pub sessions, cultural exchanges and much more.
During the summer months our visitors can join group lessons in all traditional Irish instruments at one of the many summer schools held in Sligo, Leitrim and North Roscommon. Local schools to us include Joe Mooney Summer School in Drumshanbo, O Carolan Harp Festival in Keadue, South Sligo Summer School in Tubbercurry as well as some smaller weekend workshops such as the John McKenna weekend of workshops & sessions in Drumkeeran.
We are proud of our cultural heritage of which music is just one strand. Many of our music students combine their trad music lessons with guided tours to local & national ancient Celtic Archaeology sites some dating to over 5000 years old. Visit Maeves Cairn on Knocknarea or the burial chambers on Carrowkeel in County Sligo or take in the unspoilt beauty of the Burren in County Cavan with its Neolithic monuments. Or if you want to travel further a field to the Aran Islands off the coast of Galway or Newgrange in County Meath we provide guides and all transport.
